Prayer Rooms
Meant to facilitate learning and healing, our Prayer Rooms are immersive reconciliation spaces that have become powerful tools for communal healing.

    Our hope & belief
Here, individuals engage in self-guided prayer and meditation to engage in meaningful spiritual work. In these contemplative spaces; neighbors, friends, family, and strangers are invited to interact with different curated stations to read scripture, view original art pieces, images, historical artifacts, and more.
A prayer room can be hosted anywhere and by anyone wanting to create a space for lament, healing, listening, and collective prayer. We support organizers all over the world who set them up in their own communities at various times throughout the year. We typically host our own, once a year for 4-6 weeks at a time. We also have a mobile expression that we have taken into communities in crisis to serve alongside ministries in dangerous communities such as the south side of Chicago.
Our
Approach
With a vision as grand as ours, our approach to peacemaking and reconciliation is holistic and comprehensive. We wonβt see the kind of unity and healing that we need, coming through shouts and protests alone. Or solely through the swing of a gavel. Weβll see holiness here through prayer-fueled learning and action so pain can be acknowledged, hearts can be mended, and when the once divided in our society, is united.
1
WE PURSUE RIGHTEOUSNESS
We are re-introducing righteousness or "moral order" as a foundational requirement for effective civic and social engagement. We encourage Christians in the racial equity mission and the ministry of reconciliation through relevant Biblical-worldview training.
2
WE ENGAGE
INJUSTICE
We partner with individuals, churches, ministries, and organizations to establish diverse localized expressions of reconciliation, justice, and mercy. We also develop and train first responders to function as peacemakers, table makers in various contexts, and to lead through prayer fueled Holy Activism.
3
WE BUILD
BRIDGES
We're creating safe spaces for cross-cultural formation and healing through discussions, learning, and prayer. Our efforts are helping communities foster deep relationships and build trust for barriers to be broken for relational healing.
4
WE MOBILIZE
MISSIONS
We're mending breaches between America's historically black communities and global missions organizations like Youth With a Mission, Iris Global, and the North American Missions Board. Through conferences and conversations we are helping to catalyze a more diverse global missions expression around the world.
5
WE RESTORE COMMUNITIES
Through strategic partnerships and generous investments, we are engaging in urban community development to create self-sustainable ecosystems of transformation.

    Support the movement
We see giving as a multi-faceted action. Whether itβs a donation of funds, time, resources, or prayer β our work can flourish to mature and grow into better paths of unity. And you can move with us toward that vision.
