ESTABLISH THE U.S. Truth and Reconciliation Commission (USTRC)
For the sake of the union, we must courageously confront the ugly parts of our past, face the complexities of the present, and work together toward the promise of the future.
We’re mobilizing 50,000 Christians United for Truth and Reconciliation (CUTR) and allies to initiate a comprehensive long-term process for national healing that learns from proven global models.
Through a host of civil, social, and political movements for better and for worse, the U.S. has been revolutionized and radicalized, but never truly reconciled. Demonstrations, legislative change, resolutions, commemorations, holidays, and executive orders have proven helpful in some ways; but woefully ineffective and damaging in the face of unaddressed generational trauma. Today, many deep spiritual, psychological, and emotional wounds from American history are infected. Amid dramatic and increasing political polarization which is unfortunately inextricably tied to ethnicity and culture; new wounds are being inflicted.
We cannot continue with the same tactics, strategies, and debates with every passing generation with an expectation of lasting transformation. For the sake of the faithful ones that have gone before us, those that will come behind us, and Jesus who has entrusted those who follow Him with the ministry of reconciliation; we must move corporately into another dimension of collective healing.
Why this matters?
Truth and Reconciliation Commissions are unique transitional justice mechanisms designed to promote healing and reconciliation in societies emerging from conflict, oppression, or periods of systemic abuse. Implemented in diverse regions around the world for the past 30 years, they have emerged as powerful tools for addressing historical injustices, human rights abuses, and societal divisions.
Based upon these models, we’re proposing a comprehensive, long-term approach to addressing the racial and political divides in our nation; led by a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined task force of Americans. Funded and implemented by Christian churches and their allies, with partnership, engagement, and sanctioning from local, state, and federal government.
This has never been attempted at the federal level in the modern age. With God’s help, we can find a way.

TO unite for truth and RECOncILIATION.
WE CALL ON State and Local Governments across the nation,
to acknowledge and participate in the bi-partisan establishment of
a U.S. Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Together we can create a groundswell of Reconciliation
that models a new way for The present and future generations,
as well as the Present and Future Federal Administrations.
